🏀 Your first games

Every week, usually on Thursday, you will receive your referee nominations by email. Check the date, starting time, sports hall, game number and the name of your co-referee as soon as you receive them.

⏰ When should you arrive?

You must be inside the sports hall at least 30 minutes before the official starting time.

Example: If the game starts at 18:30, you must be inside the sports hall by 18:00 at the latest. For your first games, we recommend arriving a little earlier.

You need this time to:

• 👕 Change into your referee uniform
• 🤝 Meet your co-referee
• 🏀 Inspect the court and equipment
• 📋 Check the game information and licences
• 🧑‍💻 Coordinate with the table officials
• 💬 Hold a short pre-game discussion with your co-referee

A referee who arrives late may receive a reduced match fee. Games should start on time, regardless of whether the appointed referees have arrived.

📅 Your availability

You are responsible for keeping your availability and absences up to date. Changes must be entered in the system at least 10 days before the nominations are issued, for example Monday, 14th September for the Weekend/the games of 26th & 27th September.

To update your availability:

1. 🌐 Go to the FLBB Extranet 🔗.
2. 🔐 Click “Login” and sign in.
3. 🏀 Open “Menu des Arbitres”.
4. 📅 Select “Vos disponibilités”.
5. ✅ Enter your general availability.
6. 💾 Click “Confirmer changement” to save your changes.
7. 🚫 To add an absence, select the dates and make sure you click “Confirmer ajout absence”.

🚨 If you cannot attend

If you become unavailable after the deadline, inform Patrick immediately at org@flbb.lu. Always provide the game number, date, starting time and sports hall.

An absence reported less than 48 hours before the game (if you become ill or have an emergency) must be communicated by telephone: call +352 661 481 876 immediately.

❗ Do not arrange your own replacement without first contacting the person responsible for the nominations.

💶 Payment

A payment document is included with your nomination. You must print it at home and bring the printed copy to the game.

The club will normally pay you before the game, during the interval or after the game. Some clubs can pay via Wero / Payconiq, but this option is not available at every club.
