With 1:33 on the game clock in the 4th quarter, B1 commits a disruptive foul in the frontcourt against dribbler A1. Team A is granted a time-out. After 2 free throws with no line-up, the game shall be resumed with a team A throw-in from the centre line extended.

In the case of any discrepancy between the scoreboard and the scoresheet which cannot be resolved, the scoreboard shall take precedence and the scoresheet shall be corrected accordingly.

Since 2026, technical fouls are divided into two categories based on their nature and severity level.

The 2026 changes disregard any "shot" attempted from the backcourt, unless it is the last action before expiration of the quarter/overtime or the shot clock.

All fouls committed by the accompanying delegation members and substitutes shall be entered on the scoresheet against the head coach.

Free-throw shooter A1 commits a violation during the last free throw. The time-out can be granted to either team.

B1 fouls A1 on a drive, causing the ball to momentarily leave A1's hands; A1 regains control with both hands and scores. The goal shall not count because the act of shooting was broken.

A1 is charged with a Category 2 technical foul for delaying the game, then later a Category 1 technical foul for taunting. A1 shall be disqualified because the two fouls combine.

A1 in the 3-point goal area passes the ball to A5. The ball enters the basket without being touched by any player. A1 shall be awarded 3 points.

A1 has not yet released a pass to progressing team-mate A2 when B1 fouls A2 from behind. This is a disruptive foul by B1.

A1 rebounds under the basket with the back to the basket but looks up at it while shooting a reverse layup, and is fouled during the upward motion. This is a foul in the act of shooting.

A1 fumbles the ball after the end of the dribble. A1 catches the ball and resumes the dribble. This is a legal play by A1.

The ball has left the shooter's hands when the shot clock signal sounds. The ball becomes dead at this time.

A1 recovers during a time-out taken by either team before the timer's signal for the substitution. A1 may continue to play.

New referee signals for "delay of game" and "disruptive foul" were introduced in Appendix A to reflect the new foul structure.

Thrower-in A1 is close to the centre line in the backcourt. A1 takes 1 normal lateral step towards the frontcourt. While in the frontcourt, A1 passes the ball to A2 in the backcourt. This is a legal play by team A.

During a throw-in, the ball becomes live when it is placed at the disposal of the thrower-in.

In the 1st quarter, A5's shot for a goal is in the air when the shot clock signal sounds. The ball enters the basket. Team A head coach requests a time-out. The time-out shall be granted.

New 24 seconds shall be awarded whenever the ball touches the ring.

A head coach shall be disqualified after receiving 3 Category 1 technical fouls resulting from the unsportsmanlike behaviour of other bench personnel.

A1 is holding the ball when the shot clock signal sounds in error. The ball is still live. This is correct.

One of the criteria for a flagrant foul is that it is "not a legitimate basketball play" against an opponent, with or without the ball.

A2 fouls B1 by pulling B1's arm; B1 reacts by swinging elbows and making hard contact with A2's chest. A2 shall be charged with a personal foul, and B1 shall be charged with a flagrant foul.

A3 scores 2 free throws. Before the ball is at the thrower-in B1 disposal from behind the endline, team A head coach requests a time-out. The time-out shall be granted.

Team A head coach requests a time-out. A few seconds later, team B head coach also requests a time-out. Team A scores a goal. Team A head coach shall be granted the time-out, as making the request first.
